I reeeeeealllly didn't want to open this post Daniel...and when I did, I got a chill that shook me cold! I hope I never ever get to see one of these in real life. I know they're not big...can you see the fiddle with just your eye?
Still shivering......

Hi Eve, yeah the fiddle is visible to the naked eye. This spider is definitely my worse nightmare for spiders. I have awoke twice with one crawling across my chest or on my arm. I had to slowly get out of bed both times and walk to the bathroom and turn on a light to see if it was what I thought it was- and yep- both times it was the Brown Recluse. You have to "flick" them off rather than swatting them so that they don't bite. Not good. I have recently sprayed the baseboards to hopefully kill some of them. The one in the photo was a very large one. I squashed him after I took the photo.

These things give me nightmares, Daniel. I'm with Eve...didn't really want to open this post. Did this big fella actually sit there and allow you to take his photo? Amazing.

Aristide, si tratta di un pericoloso ragno. È un brutto boccone.
